I hope someday I can meet them and express thanks and give them a big hug for giving their all.
I am so grateful my task is to live for my family. I can cook, and bring the comforts of home to them. There is such a spirit of reverence everywhere at Gettysburg. I was forever changed in my heart to be more willing to not complain when something breaks, or I can't find a parking spot, or my dinner doesn't turn out the way I planned. It is a real reminder to me of choice. These men and women then and now slept on the ground, went without their favorites, gave their all and their best without complaining. I will appreciate even in times of stress what I do have.....I have a roof over my head, warm covers, a mattress, plenty to eat and plenty to do, all my choice. I have so many options. THANK YOU!
