I really don't know where to begin expressing the depth of gratitude and love we feel for Diana. This is the culmination of this phase of her life. I remember so many memories of our last little girl growing up. She was always on someone's lap and loved very much.
Then...... she was leaving and Rich and I were in the hustle and bustle of packing up the car, driving her to college and signing her in. We were unable to do that with the other children, hats off to them being able to do that on their own. It was a major process. Being able to actually drive her to the school and share that with her was awesome. I wish we could have been there for the others.
This is her big day, a tribute to her - her choosing to overcome and grow in so many different areas and ways. She really blossomed. A great day of celebration. She triumphed and endured the sleepless nights, the racing to finish assignments, the hundreds of hours of doing homework. She overcame her inadequecies, doubts, fears and worked hard and never quit, she never ever quit and she did it!
She worked long hours at a job being a manager to help put herself through school. She never lost her giving spirit and her many many kind acts of service to others through her potluck dinners on Sundays will be in the memories of dozens of people as part of their college life forever. She made time for service in her callings and students. They could always count on her.
This day is a celebration of making it through all those growing pains, and blood, sweat, and tears. A teenager turned into quite a woman! You go girl!
YEAH DIANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE CLIMBED HER MOUNTAIN!!!!! SHE MADE IT TO THE TOP!
