The Battle Path of the American Revolution!

"Those people who refuse to take part in the political process have condemned themselves to bad government. " (John McCollough)

Dad and I, on this beautiful Fall day decided to go for a ride and visit the MinuteMen National Park in Lexington, Ma.
We both love history and we really appreciated the opportunity to remember how this country came to be "The United States of America"

We were reminded that the colonists had no desire for independence in 1775. They considered themselves Englishmen. They wanted Parliament to listen to them. They had no intentions of 'taking on' the whole British Army. They had been governing themselves including taxing themselves for over 150 years.

They were responding to the events of the day, much like we will be called upon to do. How far do you let someone elses actions go before you set boundaries and say No!? An individual matter to be sure.

This monument represents the place where Paul Revere was stopped by the British on the night he made his famous ride to warn the minutemen that the British were coming.

One of the homes on the "battle path"

This was the tavern along the road where the British fired shots inside on their way to Concord.

At the visitor's center they gave a lecture about the American Revolution and had the artifacts on display. It was really quite interesting. Dad and I want to go for the reenactment next year.

We love New England!

Pregnant Mama Sara!

Here she is blossoming all over, our Sara! We held her baby shower on the 11th of October at the church building. It was really great.

This is her opening Diana's gift of a monkey and baby carrier.
She also received a blanket with the Fitchburg Logo on it for football games, etc. I am tired of fighting with these pictures :)

Her cousins and aunts.

Anna and Yang (Sorry if I misspelled it)

She received quite a few nice gifts. Thank you everyone for helping out with such generous and lovely gifts.
